Welcome to the Ithacan Philanthropic Society
The Ithacan Philanthropic Society is a Greek community organisation established in Melbourne in 1916 by early immigrants from the beautiful island of Ithaca, home of the legendary Odysseus.
Our purpose is to continue with the intention of our founding fathers: to offer philanthropic support to our community in Melbourne and our ancestral home of Ithaca but also to engage our members through social and educational pursuits.
Annual General Meeting 25 March 2025
The Annual General Meetings (AGM) of the IPS and IHS are to be held on Sunday 25 May 2025 at the Clubrooms, commencing at 11am. This year the IPS will be holding a hybrid AGM. This means members may attend in person (or by proxy) at the Clubrooms OR online via ZOOM.

Nominations for Executive Committee Elections & Internal Auditor Positions
2025 is an Election Year and the IPS is seeking nominations for election to the IPS Executive Committee. Nominations are also being canvassed to fill two Internal Auditor positions.
